Directions & public transport
Directions from Brandenburg Berlin Airport (BER) to the Hertie School (Mitte area).
Route 1 — Through Berlin Central Station (Hauptbahnhof)
BER to Berlin Central Station. The airport railway station is located directly below Terminal 1 on level U2. The Airport Express (FEX) runs several times an hour between "Flughafen BER — Terminal 1–2" and Berlin Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). The journey takes 30 minutes. More information on transportation from BER is available on the BER airport site.
Hauptbahnhof to the Hertie School. Take the U5 U-Bahn from Hauptbahnhof towards Hönow and exit at Unter den Linden. Head west on Unter den Linden toward Friedrichstraße (52 m), turn left onto Friedrichstraße (450 m), and the destination will be on the right.
Route 2 — Through Berlin Friedrichstraße Station
BER to Berlin Friedrichstraße Station. The regional trains (RE7, RB14) run several times an hour between "Flughafen BER — Terminal 1–2" and Berlin Friedrichstraße Station. The journey takes 30 minutes.
Friedrichstraße to the Hertie School. Take the U6 U-Bahn from Friedrichstraße towards Alt-Mariendorf and exit at Stadtmitte. Head east on Mohrenstrasse towards Friedrichstrasse (37 m), turn left onto Friedrichstraße (82 m), and the destination will be on the left.

Refunds were accepted up to 7 days before the Conference.
Membership
Refunds were not offered, as membership was deemed to begin immediately.
Speakers & Chairs withdrawal
Any last-minute withdrawal in the month before the Annual Conference was penalised with the suspension of participation rights for two years. Only exceptional circumstances were accepted as exemptions from this rule.
